Okay, so what’s all the hype?

Since Covid 19, the Pandemic we have been trying to figure out best practices. Do I wear a mask? Which mask works best? Is using so much hand sanitizer bad for me?

I don’t know, everyone has their own view. One thing for sure is that bacteria and pathogens are not going to disappear. So what do we do? How do we protect ourselves against this, against Covid 19 and other diseases contracted by touch.

Doing a little research, I came across the company Cugrip, they have come up with a product that works even when you’re not there. They sell these copper films that can be applied to most metal high contact surfaces such as door handles, railings, bed rails, light switches, grocery store refrigerator doors, etc., this product has so many potential applications that it would take a day for me to explore. But I did explore one area that was a highlight or hotspot during the Pandemic, and that was senior homes. I’ve added a page link (Senior homes) that should be explored but you be the judge, there are so much scientific hard data, facts that back up this product claims that it just makes sense to use this in your business, restaurant, office, or daycare.

If you could see flu germs, you’d see how quickly they spread. Cold and flu germs can live on some surfaces for hours. You would need to always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue into the garbage, and to kill the germs, wash your hands with soap and water, or use a sanitizer gel. This is the best way to help slow the spread of the flu. Protect yourself and others.

But how do you protect yourself if your intent on socializing in restaurants is your choice of hangouts, wouldn’t you want to feel safe? Imagine a waiter delivering a menu to your table that was most probably touched by hundreds or thousands of people before you.

Who said that waiter washed every menu or sanitized them. Touching a menu. Not me!

The odds are he or she may have missed one or two menus during busy times of the day. This could happen and no one is perfect. But now re-imagine the scenario where you scan that QR Code on a business card, tent card, or poster that you don’t have to manipulate. Your own menu in the palm of your hand. You don’t need the waiter to bring it to you, you can now browse the selections when you’re ready. And totally germ-free from anyone else. That’s an ideal practice that all restaurants should start using. Staying as safe as possible should always be at the forefront.

Recommending this to your local restaurateur might be a good idea. In these times finding alternate ways to share time without sharing germs just makes sense.
